Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday and a Wonderful New Year!

I will be updating the performance of key chrisperruna.com case studies from 2007 over the next week.

  • Preview: my case studies (the stocks I highlighted and bought the most) were up more than 40% collectively with a simple buy and hold strategy (more than 20 stocks).
  • Impressive if you ask me!
  • The strategy did even better with specific buy and sell rules.
  • To compare, the NASDAQ is up 11.5% and the S&P 500 is up 4.7% for the year (to date).

See you on Wednesday with the first batch of performance numbers.

Watch this awesome display at Lindsaylights.com (2006 display) or youtube!

      Dear Chris,
Good show, nicely done. I look forward to learning the buy and sell rules you used. For some reason I was under the impression from your Texas Hold’em article that you used an expectancy of 20%–does that mean you sold at that time? In this current sideways market, 15-20% seems to be as good as it gets before going back to support again, or in the words of John Lennon’s “Helter Skelter” :
When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide
Where I stop and I turn and I go for a ride
Till I get to the bottom and I see you again
      Yeah yeah yeah hey

Do you, don’t you want me to love you
I’m coming down fast but I’m miles above you
Tell me tell me tell me come on tell me the answer
Well you may be a lover but you ain’t no dancer

      Happy full moon solstice!
      L.

Chris, Hoping that you and the family have a nice holiday, and a healthy and prosperous New Year. Your site is great and although everyone likes to be told what to buy, your insight on when not to buy is even more valuable.

May all your wide shots be in the ten ring!
      Bob
